For Belgian Fashion Week, creative director Felix Bevernage brought two remarkable families together in front of the camera: one spanning three generations, the other a close family of five. Each shares a love of Belgian design and a deep bond with our brand and with each other.
No professional models this time, but real people close to us. On one side, the women in Chief Operating Officer Katrin's life: her mother, sister, and two daughters. On the other, the Van Genechtens, a family that has been friends with the Vleeschouwer family for years.
Get to know both families, discover how fashion connects them, and shop their looks below.
THE THREE GENERATIONS
Katrin (44), COO at Nathalie Vleeschouwer, stands in front of the lens with her sister Julie (40), mother Martine (70) and her daughters Naomi (15) and Ella-Noor (8).
"Katrin inherited her love of fashion from her mother, just like her sister, and now shares it with her daughters," says creative director Felix. "Three generations of women inspiring each other: too beautiful not to capture."
My youngest daughter doesn't let anyone direct her when it comes to outfits. Overdressed? She doesn't know the word. I think she gets that from me. I sometimes go to the supermarket in a full suit, too.
Strong silhouettes for strong women. Warm colors and playful scarves give the looks a unique twist.
The youngest generation continues the tradition, in their own unique way. Naomi recently started wearing the smallest sizes and proudly joins her mom, aunt, and grandma in her blazer. Ella-Noor also knows exactly how to make Katrin's clothes her own, pictured here in an oversized sweater and her mom's boots.
The youngest already dreams of joining us someday, just like her mother. So Nathalie Vleeschouwer's future looks promising.
THE FAMILY OF FIVE
Nathalie (55) and Geert (55), who have been good friends with the Vleeschouwer family for many years, take a seat in front of the camera next to their daughter Flo (26) and two sons, Ilias (24) and Vince (22).
"I've wanted to photograph the Vangenechten family for a long time," says Felix. "For me, they embody exactly what Belgian fashion is: down-to-earth, stylish, and genuine."
"I feel most like myself in a simple, classy outfit. I get that from my mom. And everything has to be comfortable. Or rather: danceable. I get that from my dad."
The women wear feminine yet edgy outfits. The men explore the boundaries between casual and formal, demonstrating how Belgian fashion can effortlessly be both.
In her second look, Nathalie shines in a green suit. Together with Geert, she makes a true power couple: a duo that radiates warmth and strength in equal measure. Together, they proudly head their family.
